Duha Al-Wakeel

Duha is a salaried partner and solicitor in the Wills, Trusts and Probate department having joined Edward Harte in late 2019 from a local Sussex firm where she was Head of their Private Client department.  Having graduated with an LLB (Hons) degree from Queen Mary College, University of London, Duha undertook her Legal Practice Course at the College of Law and was admitted as a Solicitor in 2004.

Duha is fluent in Arabic and is a people person; her friendly and empathetic nature instantly puts clients at ease, at what can be a difficult and testing time for some, whilst providing efficient and sound legal advice.

Duha specialises in private client matters to include:

• Inheritance
• Tax planning
• Court of Protection work
• Lasting Powers of Attorney

Outside work Duha keeps herself busy with her family, including her three children who like to keep her on her toes!  She is also a volunteer regional representative for Al-Ayn Social Care Foundation, a charity involved with assisting orphans in Iraq.
